Patrick is Co-Founder and President of Synergy Fuels, and focuses on fundraising, strategy, operations, and talent acquisition.

Synergy Fuels is designed to address global energy needs. As the fourth generation of an oil and gas family, Patrick is passionate about transforming how businesses embrace clean technology.
​
As a 14 year Marine Corps officer, Patrick is passionate about Synergy Automation’s initiative to employ veterans in leadership positions across the portfolio.
Prior to joining Synergy Fuels, Patrick co-founded Accelerate Resources, a technology- and data-driven energy company that specializes in the acquisition and management of upstream oil and gas assets. Accelerate is backed by New York-based private equity firm Pine Brook Partners, and Patrick focused on strategy execution, internal operations, and asset acquisition. After 150 acquisitions, Accelerate Resources has built a portfolio that is in the top 7%, by well results, in the country. Patrick also serves on the board of Hover Energy, a wind technology company that is transforming how businesses embrace renewable energy.

For the past 14 years, Patrick has served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps. He completed two combat tours to Iraq, as an infantry platoon commander in 2008 and again in 2009 as the operations officer responsible for border security and interdiction operations along the Syrian and Jordanian borders. He continues to serve as a Major and is a graduate of Command & Staff College and Expeditionary Warfare School.

Before building Accelerate, Patrick was with Energy Spectrum Advisors, the investment banking arm for BOK Financial, and served as the Principal for the headquarters in Dallas. He focused on asset divestitures, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions services in the upstream oil and gas industry.

Patrick holds an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University, where he was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow and Nolan Scholar. He earned a BA in Economics and Government from the University of Texas at Austin and is a recipient of the Frank J. Ruck Leadership award. Patrick serves on the Advisory Council to Cornell’s Johnson School.

Patrick is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves on the National Council for the DC based think-tank, American Enterprise Institute. He was recently recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year nominee, Dallas Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40, and Oil and Gas Investor’s Top 40 under 40. Patrick resides in Dallas and enjoys fly fishing, shooting, and geopolitics.
